Kelsey's First Shower

Saturday we had our first baby shower!!! It was wonderful!!! Julie and her husband Chad are some of our best friends and we couldn't believe that she wanted to give us a shower. The food was great, seeing friends and the gifts were appreciated too! Both of our parents came in town for it too. We had a busy weekend, but are so blessed!!!

Here is the cute gift table. Julie made her name to hang! I love it.

This photo needs a little explanation. At the end of the shower the fire alarm decided to go off. We all sat there like is this real or just a false alarm. Well as you can see it was real. I don't really know what happened, but we had to evacuate. After all was cleared one of the girls at the shower chased down the firemen so that I could get my pic with them. This will be going in Kelsey's baby book so that she will always remember. :-)

09-26-09 STL Shower

The Nursery..so far....

While the parents were in town this weekend (the ladies - me, my mom and John's mom) put together the nursery. Here are the pics so far. There is still some to be done, but at least there is stuff up and on the walls. Now...on to the organization.


Kelsey's crib - my mom made the dust ruffle for her. We didn't like the one that came with the bedding.

The stereo will be move (just don't know where move it yet). Mom also made the curtains to match the dust ruffle.
Also, the photo frame was an idea that I saw on TV several years ago and have always wanted to do. It has a pic of John and me, all the grandparents, then great grandparents, my brother and his gfriend and JJ our cat. So all of her closest family.

Madison Rae

My cousin, Taylor, had her little girl on Thursday. Madison Rae was born at 11:19 a.m., weighed 8lbs and 10 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. As you can see from the picture she has a FULL head of hair and is a healthily little girl.

Keep Taylor in your prayers as she had some complications and will require a little "extra" recovery.

We are so happy for you Tay, Chris and Madison!!!

30 weeks

Well....I am just over that now. Can you believe it??? We have less than 10 weeks now until our due date!!! Of course I know....GIVE or take a couple. Either way....it is alot sooner that I am thinking. Here I am on Sunday.



We continue to make progress on the nursery. This picture is just to show you how "pink" the room is!!! I love it!!! There is actually furniture and what not in there now. Maybe later this week I will take some pictures of what it looks like now. That way I can note the progress. :-)

John and I put together the crib on Sunday night. It actually didn't take near as long as we were planning. Now since the front piece doesn't move (apparently it is unsafe...somehow we both survived) it makes it alot easier. I think it took us about 40 min. Then we treated ourselves to some ice cream!

Ok so that is all I have really. We go to the doc on Thursday, but nothing more than just a appt to check in. I begin going every other week now. I am just amazed at how quickly this is going by. Say a prayer that I continue to feel good and time continues to move (I know that the end can be the hardest.)

Also, my cousin Taylor was due this past Friday. She is also having a little girl (Madison Rae). So far...no labor...so....no Madison. She will be here before we know it. Tay - We are thinking about you!!!
