About Me

My photo
I am a mother of two great and very different little girls and a wife of a great man. We try to live our lives to glorify God. Hendersonville, TN (just north of Nashville)is where we call home. John and I both love SEC football...just two different teams. Baseball is my favorite, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. We both cherish those close to us and strive to love God to our best ability daily.

Day II on the Beach - Sunday

We have having a blast while at the beach with my family. You may think that you have a crazy silly family, but you haven't been with mine for a week. We have a family potato game every night. So far we have played One Potato, Red Potato (Light) Green Potato (Light) and Hot Potato. Here is a pic of John and I on the beach on Sunday.

Week 15 - will be at the beach!!!

Well...Baby Robus is now the size of a naval orange! And if you were to shine a flash light on my belly it would flinch and move away from the light. Very strange to think it can see light (well bright light) through my stomach.

We are at the beach this week with my family (all 20 of us!!!). Too bad it has started off with RAIN today. Oh well...that just means we are headed off to the outlets. :-) The pic above is of Mandy and Lily when we got here yesterday. It is the little girls first time at the beach and the have LOVED it so far! More later.....

Enjoy your Memorial Day and think of us enjoying our time on the BEACH!!!!

Baby Update

I know...everyone wants an update on Baby Robus.

So Friday I hit 13 weeks. This means the babe is a.....

PEACH

Of course there is a lot of growth going on. Mom is feeling pretty well for the most part. Some sickness, but getting less and less (I don't want to jinx myself).

We had a doctor's appt. last week on Thursday. The nurse tried to find the heart beat with the little doppler thingy (basically a souped up microphone and speaker) but couldn't. Surprisingly this didn't worry me. We just went into the room next door and got to see Baby Robus with an extra ultrasound. It was nice b/c we weren't expecting to see the baby again for a while. Everything was good and we got lots of information on being pregnant and preparing for a baby. We also have to choose our hospital. We only have two choices, but I still want to look at both (St. John's or MO Baptist).

We will get to find out the sex when we go on June 25th. This day can't come quick enough. Both of us are anxious to find out. Of course, John says boy and I say girl. :-) In the meantime, there is a poll on the side for you to vote on what you think. It will be interesting to see the results.

Ok...so I will try not to make our blog strictly about the baby from now on, but that is pretty much what is going on now.

Hope that all the Mommies had a great Mother's day. My family spoiled me and already bought me gifts. My in-laws gave me flowers (I need to take a picture) and my mom and dad gave me a maternity outfit for our trip to the beach in a few weeks! John let me go get a mani/pedi too!
