Claus in America and a Baseball Game

Friday we flew to Little Rock after work. Saturday - I did some shopping w/ Elaine while John and John just hung out. They met up with us for lunch. Then it was off to Karl and Kat's for the Claus reunion. We had a great time, got to see alot of people and even had a home-made Slip-n-Slide!!

Sunday we got up @ 5 to drive back to St. Louis in order to make it to the baseball game @ 1:00!!! IT WAS HOT, but we managed to enjoy ourselves!!

American Idol Concert

So, last night I randomly got tickets to the American Idol concert from work. The concert was great and I loved it. Here are some pictures:

Cardinals Game

Last night was Scottrade night at the ballpark. So we went. IT WAS SOOOO HOT!!! At least the Redbirds won!

We are headed to Little Rock tomorrow via jet plane! A exchange student from John's high school days is coming in town and we are going to see him and hang out with all our peeps there. We will be getting up extra early Sunday morning to drive back to St. Louis w/ John's parents in order to make it to the baseball game at 1:00. Pray that the weather forecast changes. At this point is it going to be 103 and completely sunny (that means no clouds people).

New Stuff

So here is my new dining table that I got from mom's store. I LOVE IT (thanks mom). Here it is all set for our dinner guests on Friday. Georgia and Scott came over to catch up. We hadn't seen them since their wedding in May. We had a great time and need to make a point to get with them more often. I even broke out the fondue pot and made chocolate fondue for dessert!!! YUMMY!!

Saturday I went and got a massage and pedi in the a.m. Then I spend the afternoon by the pool. John and I went for an evening walk. When we returned this was in the mailbox.

Weekend in Nashville & Evansville

So we went to see my family and some friend from college this weekend in Nashville. Friday we got home and made a Sonic run to meet up with Megan (my cousin) for some ice cream.

Saturday we went to see Uncle Mark's new Carpet store....so nice! I was impressed! Then it was to lunch w/ Molly (another cousin). Then we drove to see Kelly and Beth's house they are building - very nice! Then made a Wal-Mart run to get stuff to make T-shirts for Matthew's baseball game on Sunday. We made a couple of shirts...then met up w/ Kelly, Beth and their girls for a visit. Then it was off to Opry Mills to see Jeremy and Rachel before they headed back to Afghanistan. There were more people there than we expected, but it was great to see some friends that we don't normally get to. After that John and I went back to Molly and Megan's to finish the shirts. We were there until about 1:00, but John was sleeping on the couch while Megan and I finished the painting.

Sunday, we got up and headed to Evansville w/ 14 other family members. I think this was Matthew's biggest fan group. It was great that all of us were able to go watch him together and he had a great game (even though the team lost AGAIN). Here are some pictures!!!

Bad Blogging Lately

This picture makes me smile!

I am falling down on my blogging! I was so good at it for a while and now everything is just crazy and I can't find time to keep everyone posted on what is going on! I don't have my pictures from all of the past events at work either. So you just get a list for now. List of latest happenings:



1. We got a new laptop!!! YEA for us b/c our other one was a hand-me-down that needed to be replaced pretty bad. We got an HP for those of you who care and are still getting used to it.



2. My family was here last weekend (and my brother's gfriend) to watch my brother play baseball. Yes there are plenty of pictures (of him playing - somehow I managed to not take any of the family together). I will post some later.

3. This weekend it is off to Nashville/Hendersonville to see friends and family! We are going to see Jeremy & Rachel who live in Afghanistan before they head back. Which brings me to #4.

4. Babies Babies everywhere!!! Jeremy and Rachel are expecting.....TWINS!!! That is right - they are due in March. Also, a good high school friend, Jennifer "Forsyth" Jones is expecting her 2nd also due in March.

5. We are busy busy until the end of the year. So, if you want to see us tell us now b/c there are only 7 weekends open between now and 2008 people!



6. Work = busy. But I like it that way! In fact we are having a great quarter!


7. We went to the Cards/Cubs game on Wednesday. The Cards lost. Why couldn't we have gone last night when they won 11-1????


8. We have 7 more Cards games to go to. That is almost 1 every week until the end of the season! Why can't they be good this year when we have all these tickets???


9. Anyone have ideas on cute wedding shower ideas?? I am giving possibly two of them?


10. We are going to Evansville on Sunday to watch Matthew play baseball again! I love have a professional baseball player for a brother! Alot of the family is going too...I will take pics of not only Matt playing but the family as well!


11. I got a new dining room table! It is great. I need to take a picture of it. I LOVE IT!!


12. We are going to CANCUN in 7 weeks. HURRY UP!!!



13. We are headed to Little Rock in a few weeks to see Claus and party at the Hills' house!



14. Someone needs to lend me the Harry Potter books so that I can read them.

Anniversary Celebration

John and I took it easy on our anniversary last week b/c his parents were coming up to celebrate with us. (Theirs is only 2 days after ours.) So he grilled some steaks and we just watched some TV.

John's parents were here Friday when we got off work. We visited for a while, went to dinner, got desert at Ted Drewe's and visited some more.

Saturday was full of shopping for Elaine and I while the guys went to watch a documentary on the Tour de France. We found GREAT deals and came home with WAY TOO much new stuff! Then we went to a fancy dinner to celebrate both of our anniversaries. The pictures are from before dinner - just out side our condo. They were the only pics that we took the whole weekend!

We had a great time!!! This weekend my parents will be here to watch my brother play baseball. Anyone want to come and visit???
