Day 4 - Isla Mujeres

n Tuesday, we went to Isla Mujeres - the Island of Women. The morning was spent at a sister resort chillin by the beach and at the pool and then the afternoon we went shopping and got to bargain w/ the Mexicans! :-)

Headed back to our hotel. The crew on the "party" boat was great. The even dressed up for us. We also had a karaoke session!

After a very long dinner! The humidity was kicking in - hence why the pic is foggy.

Leaving Paradise

Wednesday morning it was time to leave and come back to the Lou. The hotel transportation thought that we needed to leave for the airport @ 6:30 a.m. for an 11:00 flight. Yes you are right this was WAY TO EARLY. We couldn't even check in until 8, but whatever...we wasted some time at Mexican Starbucks and the gift shops in the airport.

This was the sun rise as we got up - Not near as cloudy as the first one!

Whaleys in the Lou

The night before we left for Cancun (Friday 9-14) we went to the Cards game with Mike and Rachel Whaley. It was Mike's bday and the Cards were playing the Cubs...too bad they lost. What is going on with them anyway. We had a great time and it helped the time before us leaving for Mexico to go by faster. Oh yeah and it was Mike's bday. Rachel even had his bday put on the Jumbo Tron!

We are home :-(

John and I are back from Cancun and NOT WANTING TO GO BACK TO WORK TOMORROW!! Great trip...lots of pic to come later maybe, if I can get them all on the computer!

But while I am on here I must wish a HAPPY 1ST BDAY TO ELI!!! We will be heading to Hendersonville this weekend to celebrate with the family. It seems like just yesterday we were all at the hospital waiting for him to get here!!!

Peace Out A-town....

I guess it would be S-town, but you get my point.

Tonight we are going to the Cards/Cubs game with the Whaley's. That would be Mike (aka Whaley Butt) and Rachel. It is Whaley's bday so Happy Bday to YOU!!

Tomorrow at the butt crack we are getting up and going to the airport and flying th CANCUN to lay on the beach for 5 days!!!! Think about us while you all are at work Mon-Wed. Don't worry we will take lots of pictures so that you all are jealous!

Glenn Weekley

My pastor from my home town church, First Baptist Hendersonville, past away yesterday morning. It is amazing the impact this man has had on SO MANY lives!! Our church is what you might call a "mega" church, but honestly I have never thought of it that way. Brother Glenn was so wonderful at making everyone feel welcome and comfortable in that church. I can only imagine the welcome he received in Heaven.

There is so much that he has done for the church family and my family. He baptized both me and my dad. It is hard to imagine that he won't be the one preaching next time I go home.

Lots of Updates.....

You will find lots of new posts below (which means I expect lost of new comments). Finally I was able to catch up!! I have put some invites that I have done recently on here too...just b/c I am proud of them and the parties/showers they represent!!

This one is for a lingerie shower for my college roommate. It is hard to tell here but the top is on velum paper so that you can see the image of the lingerie through it. (Thanks Kat for giving me the websites to find cute clip art!!)
