About Me

My photo
I am a mother of two great and very different little girls and a wife of a great man. We try to live our lives to glorify God. Hendersonville, TN (just north of Nashville)is where we call home. John and I both love SEC football...just two different teams. Baseball is my favorite, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. We both cherish those close to us and strive to love God to our best ability daily.

14 Months

Things you are doing now:

1. You are still a great sleeper. During the week I have to wake you up at 6:30 to get ready and you take two naps while at Miss Claudia's. On the weekend you are smart and sleep in for Momma and Daddy! Usually until 8 or 8:30! Then you will only take one nap. We lay you in your crib and tuck you in and then don't hear another peep from you. We are still amazed that you are that easy to put to bed. BUT VERY GREATFUL!

2. You are wearing a size 3 diaper and mostly still in 6-9 month clothes. However those pants are getting to short and I have started putting you in more 12 mo.

3. You probably weigh just over 18 pounds, but we aren't positive.

4. You say bye bye before even being prompted to now. Other words you know are, baby and finally you are using Mama and Dada more. In fact, today you came home with Mom and were looking around saying Dada and trying to find him. He wasn't home yet though.

5. You can recognize many phrases and words. We ask if you want some thing to eat and you point to the kitchen and head for your highchair. We say night night and you walk towards your room. We can ask you to bring us baby, Elmo or a book and you do. It is so much fun seeing you learn and realize new things every day.

6. You play peek-a-boo, give high fives and give kisses when asked now. Kisses are our favorite!!

7. You are still a fan of bath time and have began to get brave. You will lay down on your stomach and try to stand up (you get in trouble for that one though).

8. You are getting better about trying new foods and this makes mommy happy. We recently discovered your love for bananas (even though with you that could change tomorrow). Some of your favs are pasta and cheese quesadilla.

9. You are running around the house now and love books!! You almost always have a book with you.

Little Rock Trip

Yes this trip was in November, but I still wanted to show some photos on here.

We were there for Thanksgiving and were able to see lots of the Robus family. Both John's grandmothers were there for Thanksgiving and the Uncle Greg and Aunt Debbie came to visit too.

Kelsey had fun playing with both Aunt Debbie and Uncle Greg

John's highchair from when he was a baby. His parents re-finished it so that Kelsey could use it while we were there.

Thanksgiving in Little Rock

I am trying my best to get caught up here.

These are just a few photos from Thanksgiving Day in Little Rock. We are so very blessed to have such wonderful family and to be able to spend time with them. It was very sweet this year as Kelsey had just turned one.

Everyone is thankful for me

Gramps and Kelsey have their own game/trick.

So happy...she had just ate some pumpkin pie.

Mimi & Grandaddy's

While we were in Hendersonville for Kelsey's bday party, we had to have a photos shoot before we left. Plus a pink Titans jersey...who wouldn't want to take pictures!!!

She is famous!

Happy 1st Birthday #2

We had a second birthday party for Kelsey in Tennessee. It was hard for all of my family to be able to come to St. Louis and my aunt and uncle offered their house for that party...so here we go! This was a little bit more crazy just because there were a lot more people there. However, it was wonderful to get to share the special occasion with every one and see family and friends. We are very blessed!

Here are the decoration that I did. I used the same ones for the Minnie party (just substituted Minnies for the cupcakes).

The year in photos (this was hard to pick which photos to use).

Kelsey's First 1st Birthday Party

We had a party in St. Louis for Kelsey. It was Minnie Mouse as you can tell. It was great. We had our close friends and then our parents and my brother and sis-in-law. We all enjoyed the party and Kelsey did great. We got pizza and opened presents. She didn't really know what to thing. But when it came time for cake so got excited. You can see from the photos below she was not shy! See did have just a little bit of help from Uncle Matthew shoving it into her face.

Before the party began

My mom made the cake. Minnie was for Kelsey and all the ears were individual cakes for the guests. VERY CUTE!

Yummy cake!!!

13 Months

Yes I know that I didn't do 11 or 12 months, but yet I am skipping right ahead to 13. Oh well....

The things she is learning to do, say and understand continue to amaze us daily. We couldn't imagine what our lives would be like with out Kelsey. She is so much fun and we love her so very much!

I tried to get the usual photos but she DID NOT want to cooperate. So this is what we have for 13 months....shows just how busy she is.

At 13 months you:
- have 8 teeth (6 on top and 2 on bottom).
-are learning to do everything that we do. You eat what we eat no matter when or what. You are still not very good at eating fruits and veggies though. We are working on that one.
- there is no more bottles for you...in fact that was probably a week or so before your 1st bday. You don't even get anything right before bed time. Both were easy transitions for you. Mommy and Daddy were very proud.
- You are walking like a champ and are starting to try and run. You began walking just a week or two before your birthday.
- are still a LITTLE girl. You are wearing size 3 diapers and still in 6-9 month clothes. I have put you in a few 12 month things but not many.
- continue to be a happy little girl and a great sleeper. You always know to sleep in on the weekends! Sometimes even until 9 a.m.!!!
- you love books. You usually carry one around with you actually.
- Bath time is still a favorite too. In fact you are starting to get brave and lay down on your tummy in the bath and kick.
- you can say dog, ball, bye bye and hi. You understand alot more like....book, night night, milk, cup, snack
- love to laugh!!! and we love making you laugh. I never knew that the laughter of your child could make you feel so wonderful. It is easiest on of my favorite sounds ever!
- I know that I am forgetting things, but it is getting hard to keep up with them all now. You are growing too quickly, and your Daddy and I are trying to just take it all in as we can. We love you very much!!
