About Me

My photo
I am a mother of two great and very different little girls and a wife of a great man. We try to live our lives to glorify God. Hendersonville, TN (just north of Nashville)is where we call home. John and I both love SEC football...just two different teams. Baseball is my favorite, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. We both cherish those close to us and strive to love God to our best ability daily.

Another Weekend

Friday we got our prize $$$ for bowling. So...that meant we spend it as fast as we can. We went to dinner and then to the boat. John ended up down $20ish and I was down $40ish...not that bad!!! We had a good time w/Brian and Angie. Saturday was Chad and Julie's wedding. John works with Chad. The ceremony was at St. Cecilia's, a beautiful church and the reception was at the City Museum. The City Museum isn't really a museum at all, but a big playground for everyone. It has tunnels, caves, slides and climbing stuff. It was a different place for a reception, but a blast! Their cake was adorable.
Each layer of the cake was a different flavor...we had red velvet! Yummy!!

Pictures from the Busy Weekend

Saturday we left the Lou about 7:00 a.m. so that we would make it to Nashville in time to watch my brother play baseball at 1:00. We made it and watch a great game. It was a victory for Belmont. After the game, John and I went to my aunt and uncle's house to see Megan before she left for prom! Isn't she beautiful?!?!?!?!!?
Molly and I even took a picture of our "prom" pose. Don't you like the back of our dresses??

After Megan left, we went to Mom and Dad's to change clothes and head to J. Alexander's for a birthday dinner celebration. Jennifer's (my brother's girlfriend) birthday was last week and Matt's was Monday. So we met up with her family and had a yummy meal. Her mom even baked a cheesecake and brought it for desert!!! Pictures of the families below:

Sunday it was back to the ballpark for some more baseball. This time Matt had all kinds of support.... Me, John, Granny, Papa, Pa, Mark, Mandy, Kelly, Beth, Emma, Sydney, Lily, Luther, Cathy, Megan, Jenn, Mom & Dad were all there (I hope I didn't forget anyone). It was a good thing all those people were there b/c he tied a school record for stolen bases! He hurt the 2nd baseman in the process too. ~ See picture below ~

It was a great weekend, and we were glad to be able to see a lot of the family!

It's Monday again.... & COMH

We had a good weekend. Friday was bowling (which is almost over). Saturday we tried a new place for dinner. It is called the Crossings - very yummy food! :-) Then it was off to the Fox to see Chicago. I love the movie and loved the play even more! John even enjoyed it. The picture above is us @ Chicago. Not so good, but the only one I have.
Here is another edition of COMH (Corner of My Home)..... this is our entertainment area I guess you could say. The picture was taken to show off the wonderful art work by Brooke Knight (hanging to the far right)! See more of her art HERE. She is wonderful! I just love the Gerber Daisie piece I have. I won it at an auction, but need to purchase more of her work! One day...soon I hope. There are also multiple pictures in this area....as I love to take photos and display them all over my house!!

Easter Weekend in Little Rock

John and I were both off on Friday. So, Thursday night we flew to Little Rock to spend the Easter weekend w/ John's family!

Friday we went to Oaklawn in Hot Springs to the Horse Races. No one won really.....I think that there was one race were John won $12 but then he used it for his next bet and lost it all! Then we headed back to Little Rock to eat dinner at PF Chang's (YUMMY) and play Canasta!!

Saturday, John's grandparents came to see us. We had lunch and then did a little shopping. Surprisingly we didn't buy a whole lot. We had dinner and had a great visit. John and I even managed to play outside in his old fort "Fort Alamo"! Johnny took and nap w/ Prince and I took some pictures for Elaine.

Sunday, it was off to church for Easter service (I even curled my hair - see post below). We came home and took some pictures and had lunch. We watch a little bit of the Master's and then it was time to go to the airport and return to the Lou!

Do you like??

Ok..so...I can't decide if I like it or not. Why don't you tell me what you think. I haven't tried to curl my hair in a very long time. It didn't take as long as I thought it would either. Should I start doing it more???

COMH 2

Time for another Corner of my Home part II. So here is our closet. Yes, our closet, but it is one of my favorite things in our house. The "shoe shelf" is wonderful and I LOVE IT!!! I enjoy being organized and this helps in achieving that goal! Everyone should have one!!!

In other news:
- Baseball has officially started. The Cards, not off to a great start, but that could change tonight. The world series ring ceremony is before the game. I am sure that it will be on TV here!
- The weekend was pretty low key. We bowled on Friday. John watched basketball w/ Brian while Angie and I went shopping Saturday. Sunday we went to a new church, ran into some college friends randomly, and went grocery shopping. Now it is back to work.
- Friday we are off for GOOD FRIDAY!!!! Yes, that means NO WORK!!! So......
- Thursday after work we are flying to Little Rock where we will be going to the horse races on Friday and then spending time w/ John's parents and grandparents and hopefully some friends time in there too!!!!
