About Me

My photo
I am a mother of two great and very different little girls and a wife of a great man. We try to live our lives to glorify God. Hendersonville, TN (just north of Nashville)is where we call home. John and I both love SEC football...just two different teams. Baseball is my favorite, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. We both cherish those close to us and strive to love God to our best ability daily.

Kelsey's First Parade

Every year there is a festival in Kirkwood (the Greentree Festival). They always have a parade that goes right by our house. John's parents were here and we decided to take K out to see it all.

Waiting for the parade to start.
Note: She is in a Razorback shirt here.

She was very into the whole thing

After the parade we went to the festival. K was in a cutest baby contest so we had to stop by the booth to vote. :-)
Note: Now she is in a TN shirt. Arkansas played in the morning and the TN in the afternoon....so we changed her clothes to go with the games. Poor girl!

Balloon Glow

John's parents come up for a weekend a while back. It just happened to be the weekend of the hot air balloon race here. The night before the race they have a balloon glow at night. I is pretty neat. We had never been. So, we took the chance to go with his parents. Here are some of the photos (there were tons of balloons and people!!).

Kelsey wanted to turn around and see the balloons. She loved all the colors!

They would blow a horn and then they would all "glow" at once.

Granny's

These are some more pics from my last trip to TN with Kelsey. Though it was several weeks ago...there are some good pictures that I had to share.

Eli was making Kelsey laugh. She loves him!

Crawling to see Eli!

The FOUR great-grandbabies on my Dad's side.
I can't wait until Christmas we all of them will be together.

Slumber Party!!!

You read that right! We had a slumber party. These ladies are some of the most amazing and wonderful women I have ever known. We all went to high school together and are still great friends. We are always able to pick up right where we left off. Though 5 of the 6 are married and 3 of those are now mommies, we are all in different places in our lives. Despite those different places, God always has something to teach us when we are together! What a blessing it is to have these ladies in my life. I can't wait until the next slumber party!!

Momma's UT Cheerleader!

John is going to kill me for posting these, but that is what happens since I am the blogger! Hehe!

My mom found this outfit at a consignment sale not long ago. It is adorable and one of K's favorites (just b/c I said so). Anyway, we had a mini-photo shoot while I was in TN (without John). I couldn't decide on just one to post so there are a few.

10 months

That is right...Kelsey is now in the double digits. :) I know I say this every month, but I can't believe it. Preparations for her 1st birthday parties (yes I said partieS) are well under way. How blessed we are to have her in our lives!!!

This was as good as it got this day (she had been sick)

Mad b/c I took the paper away.

Now she is mad b/c she was done with photo taking.

What you are doing now:
1. You are eating solids more and more every day. So far you have had strawberries, bananas, blue berries, potatoes, carrots and I am sure there are others.
2. You are still wearing 6-9 month clothes, but I am sure I will start to put some 12 mo. on you soon.
3. You are very good at walking around the coffee table and pulling up. You even use Momma's pants to pull up now. :-)
4. You LOVE your books (which makes Mommy happy). You especially like the touch and feel ones.
5. You are still a great eater and sleeper, love bath time and watching cartoons on tv (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Handy Manny are the current favorites).
6. You have 4 teeth and got them pretty quickly after your 9 month bday.
7. You are just now beginning to wear size 3 diapers.
8. You weigh just over 17.5 lbs. (Still our petite little girl...thought we don't know where you got it from).
9. You want to walk and are getting braver every day with standing up and letting go.
10. You can say 'HI'. I guess we should consider that your first word b/c you say it whenever we are on the phone or the phone rings. No Momma or Dada but HI. Really?? I guess you are too advance for the simple ones.
11. You have spent your first night away from both Mommy and Daddy, attended your first Cardinals (or MLB) ballgame, and saw your first parade (which you loved)!!
12. You make Mommy and Daddy more proud of you every day. You are growing and learning new things every day. We wouldn't trade one second with you for anything!
