About Me

My photo
I am a mother of two great and very different little girls and a wife of a great man. We try to live our lives to glorify God. Hendersonville, TN (just north of Nashville)is where we call home. John and I both love SEC football...just two different teams. Baseball is my favorite, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. We both cherish those close to us and strive to love God to our best ability daily.

Seeing Joy & Esther Hollie

Our good friends Jeremy and Rachel had twin girls on Feb. 2. Esther was born first and weighed only 3 lbs 3 oz. Joy came within the same minute and was 4 lbs 4 oz. Both were kept in the ICU for a while. While we were in Nashville a couple of weeks ago we were able to see them. As you can see from the pictures they were still in the hospital, but Joy was going home the very next day. They were hoping that Esther would be going home soon (I am assuming that she has joined her sister now). I have never seen anything so tiny yet so beautiful. They were amazing!!

This is Esther being burped by her daddy.

Here is Rachel and I w/ Esther (doesn't she look amazing for just having twins 2 weeks before this picture was take???)

This is Joy sleeping. She is precious!!

Here is John and Jeremy w/ Joy.

Valentine's Day

My hubby is wonderful!! He came home with 5 different bouquets of flowers!! I arranged them (picture below) plus had tulips left that were in another vase. We went to eat at J. Bucks - a local restaurant...pretty good. Then came home to have cheesecake. Yummy!!!

Snow ~ Feb. 1

What a way to bring in February - with 8+ inches of snow. We decided that we would build a snowman, however the snow was too dry. Somehow we managed to just pile the snow and make a semi-snowman, I guess. John even named him Slushy. He was melted that afternoon and didn't last very long. :-( We still had fun.

Pray for Union University

As most of you may know by now, last Tuesday, Feb. 5th, Union's (where John and I went to college) campus was hit by an F4 tornado. The resident complexes were hit the worst. There is no way to even explain it so I will just post some pictures. Many of the rooms that we lived in our now gone.

The view of the campus.

The guys commons.

Some of the guys dorms

Some of the girls dorms

There are tons of pictures and articles out there about Union and the damage that was done. God's had was absolutly over this campus and the students. It is a true miracle that no one was killed during this storm.

This link is to one of the best videos that I have seen that was purt together (you can search youtube.com for others). President Dockery is a blessing to this university.

Snow, Snow, & Snow

We have snow and alot of it. The news/weather channel is saying anywhere from 8 -10 inches.
This is the front of our condo yesterday afternoon when I got home from work.

Thursday @ 4:00 p.m.

Thursday @ 8:30 p.m.

Friday @ 7:00 a.m.

That is alot of snow!!!

This is the measurment taken on our balcony. However, it is 1/2 covered so I am thinking that there is probably more on the ground.
It hasn't been decided if I am going to work yet or not. John left the house @ 6:30 this morning, but our driveway hasn't been plowed and he said that it was really hard to get out. Plus my boss told me that it was pretty bad around the office.
